If somebody writes a great poem, people don't run around applauding the pencil, saying 'Oh, what a great pencil'... ...I'm a pencil in God's hands. - Keith Green
You may remember my earlier post on The Lucy Show. Well, I have been searching for more episodes of the Lucy show, and I finally found a whole myriad of them. Yay!
One of my favourite all time comedies comes from the 60s is one starring Lucille Ball. I have only just discovered the myriad of Lucy show episodes available online. If anyone hasn't seen it, and is a lover of clean slapstick and silly comedy, I suggest you get familiar with Lucille Ball. Here's some help to get you started... (Click on the names to get more background info from Wiki).
Anyone remember the famous 60's show "I Love Lucy"? Heard your parents talking about it? Here's your chance to find out about it.
I have been searching endless websites and finally found a place to watch at least the original black and white episodes here and here. They are pretty much all black and white, so if you don't mind that, its good fun (and clean comedy is so rare these days, that I love going back to the old sitcoms).
Now I have most of seasons 5-6 already at home, minus a few missing episodes. While researching today, I discovered there are a whole 4 seasons of earlier episodes which I had not yet seen. Unfortunately, I have not really been able to find many of these earlier episodes, and so will have to relegate eventually purchasing them via Amazon. I did manage to find some on youtube, but they are scarce and hard to come by. I already did a fair bit of research, so if you want to find more episodes you will have to do it yourself. Because I've already seen many of them I didn't bother finding all the links. You can use the episode guide to help you. There are heaps of season 5-6 on you tube, but not many in the 2-4 range. Here are the ones I found, hopefully this is enough to get you started.
Most of season 1 is available here, and a few scant episodes from other seasons.
The Lucy Show: Lucy conducts the symphony [S02E13] (part one), (part two), (part three).
The Lucy Show: Lucy the disc jockey [S03E26] (part one), (part two), (part three).
The Lucy Show: Lucy and Joan (guest starring Joan Collins) [S04E04] (part one), (part two), (part three).
Was supposedly a bit of a flop and didn't do very well. However, I think its nice to see how an actor grows and changes over many years on television. I've only been able to find a few episodes.
Life with Lucy: World's greatest grandma (part one), (part two), (part three).
Life with Lucy: Lucy and the guard goose (part one), (part two), (part three).
Life with Lucy: Mother of the bride (link). Warning: really bad sound quality.
Now to finish, here is a famous Lucy trademark. It is Lucy's most loved face, used again and again throughout all 5 shows, nicknamed her famous "spider face". Enjoy!!
Dave and I looove to watch NCIS, and are always looking forward to when episodes are released online each week. For those of you other NCIS fans who have been keeping up with season 8, I managed to get my hands on the link to this week's episode:
